In Thailand, many underprivileged students who gain university admission struggle to pay the initial placement fees and first-term tuition required to secure their student status. Without student status, they cannot access government student loans (กยศ.), creating a cycle of financial inaccessibility. To address this issue, we propose the "Demo Lab" initiative, which aims to provide financial support for students to secure their placement and first-term tuition fees, enabling them to maintain their student status and access student loans.
Create emotional connection:Show the profile of the kids to potential funders, funders can pick between several candidates, each candidate can have different field of interests (that we we can target/match)If funders end up funding over, for example 75K:They get to meet the kidsHave a promotional video about them, and their causeThe kids that get funding send “thank you” videos
Work towards influencing government policies to provide better financial support for underprivileged students, potentially leading to changes in the national education funding structure. Advocate for and implement additional support systems such as mentorship programs, academic counseling, and career guidance to further assist underprivileged students.
